New Summit School, Jackson was established in 1997 as a full-time, special purpose, co-educational school offering classes for students K-12 grade. Although New Summit School (NSS) is designed similarly to traditional schools, emphasis is placed on keeping instructional groups small and teaching to the individual student in a positive and stimulating environment.

North New Summit School, Greenwood was established in 2004 as a K-12 grade, co-educational, special purpose school. North New Summit School (NNSS) encourages students to reach their full academic potential while promoting emotional well-being. New Learning Resources Online, the distance learning division of North New Summit School, is designed to guide students through the requirements necessary to earn a high school diploma. Upon completion of required courses, a student will receive a diploma from New Learning Resources Online. The diploma is recognized in various avenues of continuing education, such as community/technical colleges, universities, military, and other career possibilities.
